Alison's Story

My Story

I have always liked travelling all over the world. I've slept on bunk beds in Mexico and worked as a barber in India to earn for my hostel. Swam with whales in Tahiti and gambled my last $100 in Las Vegas.

My uniform used to consist of a rucksack, worn out trainers or flip flops, local T-shirts and rainproof jackets (surprisingly I never travelled in winter).

I still want to continue the journey through the world's marvels but I paused for this very special moment in my life, which has continued for four years now and won't end any time soon.

I would like my outfit to represent this stage in my life, but still being able to see a familiar soul of a traveller in the mirror. I like the toned down palette but with a dust of pink. This is not a typical earth, zen colour but I fell in love with it when I saw Hiller lake in Australia. It stayed in me forever. I would like to incorporate this tone in my wardrobe.

After meeting my husband in Australia, who happened to be a fellow passionate traveller, we returned to our soil and looking into each other eyes we realised we wanted to start a Family Chapter.

A quick small wedding five months later and a baby girl another 8 months afterwards I became a mum.

Hasty spontaneous decisions and carefree lifestyle changed into the most elaborate process thinking and constant worries.

My husband has been building his career, I have been building a magical bond with now two little girls.

And only recently I made a decision to sit behind the office desk - my first standard paid job at a travelling agent will give me some sense of my identity. At home, I'm my children. I breathe their air, I learn their world. I am them. I realised I need myself too.
